The southwest area of Saskatchewan is a beautiful place with so much to offer. From the Cypress Hills to the Grasslands, from the bits of heaven like Pine Cree Regional Park, to the beautiful South Saskatchewan River. There is culture, history and so much more here.

All Dawn Van Hal of the Scandia Community Hall board wanted to do was to have more people come to the Scandia Pancake Supper and Pie Auction.

SunDogs donate time and skills to Special Olympics

The 2013-14 Great Plains College SunDogs have bounced in to assist their community and are helping to train individuals to participate on a Special Olympics basketball team.
 

It’s known as Pancake Day or Pancake Tuesday, but no matter what you call it, Shrove Tuesday will be March 4 this year.

Frontier Days Ag & Ex Association and the City of Swift Current are searching for a Frontier Days, Centennial Year Ambassador. Applications are now being accepted for female and male contestants from the ages of 16 – 21. The crowning of the Frontier Ambassador will be made at a special wine and cheese reception on June 7 at the Palliser Building, Kinetic Exhibition Park. 

The Swift Current SPCA has launched a fundraising initiative to counter the growing cost of operating the shelter and to maintain its current services.
