I get excited hearing people talk about their dreams. I see the sparkle in their eyes and the inflection and enthusiasm in their voices. Dreams invite eagerness, wonder and curiosity to pull us forward.

Then the most amazing thing happens ... people start to doubt their dreams, dismiss them, and they fizzle out. Have you ever heard yourself or another say: “but I don’t have enough money for that”... “but it will be too hard”.... “but my husband/wife/partner/family won’t understand”.... “but I won’t know anyone there”.... “but that’s just the way it is”... “ Hold the fort friends and wait a minute.
Here are a few of my “Must Remembers” when we are trying to expand our lives and reach towards our dreams. Whether you are a dreamer or a goal setter, a seeker or a “nay-sayer”, may these words inspire you to expand into your life with even more ease, joy and glory.
1: Stop sabotaging your own life and get out of your own way.
If you took your life and your choices with the great power and potential that they truly are, perhaps you would make different choices and step into greater possibilities. Everything that you have in your life today, you have chosen to create it. You have chosen your relationships, your beliefs, your feelings, your thoughts, your actions ... all of it. For those of you out there with great dreams, hopes and aspirations, who have ever concluded the end results to your dreams and goals before you even get started stop it.
2. You are responsible for your amazing, so go out there and live it.
You can spend your whole life complaining about not having enough time, not having enough money,  or devaluing your own dreams and you will end up living an unsatisfactory life. Does that appeal to you my friends? Do you want to be one who only dreams or do you want to be one who takes action towards their dreams and surrenders the results? We only fail when we stop trying.
3. Let go of your unwillingness to create new choices.
Let go of your worry and fear that it won’t work or you are not enough. Let go of your “monkeymind” of justifying all the reasons why it won’t work out ... why it will be too hard ... why you are not enough ... and uncreate that point of view.
4. You were born for greatness in whatever shape or form or style that may look like.
There is only one of you and it is up to you to live your life and your essence to its fullest.
5. Life does not need to be managed or controlled.
Life needs to be experienced, felt and sensed. You truly know deep within you when things feel good and when they are sucking the life force right out of you. You know when you are feeling out of control, overwhelmed, unbalanced and frantic. You also know when you are feeling “true” to you, centered, peaceful, at ease and authentic. Being and feeling our true self is not a managed experience. Being our authentic selves comes with ease not effort. How yummy is that. (Cheers to authentic living).
6. Align your choices to your heartfelt desires.
How will your choices contribute to what you actually desire? Just ask. Every time you are making a choice, check in with the deep intuitive knowing within you ... (breathing here to help centre and get clear can be helpful), and ask “Truth ... will this choice actually contribute to my life and me moving forward? Feel the answer within you; then choose.
Imagine the magic that can show up in our lives when we make choices that actually contribute to us moving forward. Deliciousness arrives and we are now present in our bodies and our lives. We are now playing with the possibilities of our lives.
7. Inspired icing on the cake.
If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavours to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. (Henry David Thoreau)
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. (T.E. Lawrence)
Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning. (Gloria Steinem)
