A flag raising ceremony took place at City Hall on Sept. 14 in recognition of the 50 year celebrations of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council in Swift Current.

The flag raising also signalled Saskatchewan Abilities Council Awareness Week in Swift Current for the period Sept. 13 to 19, which was officially proclaimed on Sept. 14 at a regular council meeting. The Swift Current branch of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council hosted its annual pancake breakfast on Sept. 15, during which people were able to meet new regional director Kimi Duzan and also tour the facility to learn more about the various programs offered by the organization.
