The launch of the Swift Current United Way 3rd annual Day of Caring Week took place at Pioneer Co-op, May 25.

Volunteers from participating local businesses and United Way partner agencies received their Day of Caring t-shirts, which was sponsored by Pioneer Co-op. The Day of Caring initiative provides local businesses with an opportunity to make a difference by helping out local non-profit organizations to complete much needed tasks. The approximately 50 volunteers from six businesses have been participating in 13 projects at six United Way partner agencies from May 25-29. The event sponsor is Pioneer Co-op and the participating businesses have been BMO, Golden West Radio, Pharmasave, RBC, Stark & Marsh, and WW Smith. They have been joined by community volunteer Kurtis Butler and a volunteer team from Saskatchewan Abilities Council.
