Swift Current United Way and Innovation Credit team up to help Active Play

The Swift Current United Way and Innovation Credit Union presented a cheque of $10,000 to the United Way Active Play program on Oct. 17.

 

The Innovation Credit Union has become a funding partner of the United Way Active Play program in Swift Current and contributed $5,000 while the remaining $5,000 is from United Way generated funds. The Active Play after-school program has experienced significant growth since it started at four elementary schools in Swift Current during the 2012-13 school year, when 200 students participated in 20 programs. In 2013-14 a total of 48 programs were offered to 255 students at four schools. During 2014-15 there will be a total of 60 programs at six schools.
