Swift Current swimmer Meghan Chisholm (at left) receives a donation of over $500 from Ella Toles, June 12. Chisholm is raising funds for juvenile diabetes with her solo across the English Channel in July over a distance of 34 kilometres.

Ella presented the monies collected by her grandmother, Carole Toles, on behalf of Gentle Flow Aquacize, Gentle Yoga Group and Swift Current Ladies Duplicate Bridge Club. Ella’s cousin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was eight months old. The money raised by Chisholm will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for research and treatment of Type 1 diabetes. The photograph was taken at Dairy King, which also sponsored Chisholm with $1 from each treat donated to her cause for another $500.  Contact Chisholm at the pool to make a donation to JDRF or to her expenses for the swim.
