The Southline Palliative Care committee made donations of $1,000 each to the Southline Ambulance and Victoria’s Quilts.

The Southline Palliative Care provides equipment and assistance to palliative patients in their own homes.
The money is raised through donations and the sale of light bulbs for the Tree of Lights.
The Tree of Lights ceremony is planned for Sunday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the Border Health Centre.
Donations can be made year-round at the Village of Climax office or at the Climax Fowl supper held in October each year. The Palliative Care Committee also supports the Blue Christmas service which is planned for Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Catholic Church in Climax.
The Southline Ambulance provides emergency services to a vast area along the southline and is a valuable service in our area. They may be contacted in Frontier at 306-296-4554.
Victoria’s Quilts Canada Climax Branch is a group of dedicated volunteers in Southwestern Saskatchewan who have been making quilts for cancer patients all around the province. One of two branches of Victoria’s Quilts Canada in Saskatchewan is based in Climax.
The sewing and quilting volunteers live all over the province. A second branch was started in Moosomin in March 2013. These volunteers combine their efforts to provide comfort quilts to cancer patients for whom a quilt has been requested. There is no charge to the recipient or the requester.
All donations and funds raised by the Climax branch go towards the cost of producing and shipping these quilts.
All money raised in Saskatchewan, stays in the province. The branch started in May 2010 and to date approximately 600 quilts have been delivered, with many more in various stages of completion.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our volunteers to make a difference in someone’s life.  As the number of requests increase, there is  need for more helpers throughout the province.
Val Hagen of Corner Closet in Frontier has donated space in her store for various activities related to Victoria's Quilts.
