The first annual Swift Current United Way baby crawl race will be held at the Swift Current Mall Dec. 8, from 4-6 p.m.

This event is free and all participants will receive grab bags and door prizes. Parents are encouraged to register their little ones who will be able to crawl and are not yet walking by Dec. 8 (approx. six to 12 months of age).
The goal of this event is to let everyone in Swift Current know who the United Way is, who they work hard to support and how these partners make this community a better place to live. Show your support for the United Way and its Funded Partners through participating in the event or through spectating.
Currently, Swift Current United Way has 12 funded partners which include: Canadian Mental Health Association; Early Childhood Intervention Program; Saskatchewan Abilities Council; Southwest Crisis Services Inc.; St. John Ambulance; Canadian Red Cross; Canadian Paraplegic Association;  Canadian National Institute for the Blind; Multiple Sclerosis Society; La Leche League of Canada; Saskatchewan Association for Community Living and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
“Parents are encouraged to get involved with their child during this race.” said United Way Executive Director Darla Lindbjerg, “Bring your child’s favourite toy, food, cell phones ... whatever item can get them crawling like crazy towards the Standard Motors and Knight Dodge finish line.”
