The SWF is proud to support the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association with a $20,000 donation to the wildfire relief fund helping ranchers affected by the catastrophic wildfires this September.

“Not only do landowners play the pivotal role in hunting access,” said Darrell Crabbe, SWF executive director, “but provide crucial wildlife habitat through their ongoing stewardship of the land, which supports healthy wildlife populations, including Species at Risk”

“We greatly appreciate this contribution from the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation,” stated Chad MacPherson, General Manager of the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association. “These funds will go a long way towards helping those affected by the wildfires get back on their feet.”

“As hunters and conservationists, many of our members felt compelled to help,” stated Crabbe.

The SWF would like to thank branches from all over Saskatchewan who donated, including Assiniboia, Cub Hills, Dirt Hills, Eagle Creek, Indian Head, LaRonge, Macklin, Mallard, Outlook, Preeceville, Rocanville, Save-A-Goose, Swift Current, Touchwood Hills, and Valley Trails.

We encourage any other wildlife organizations to contribute by going to www.skstockgrowers.com or calling the SSGA office at (306) 757-8523.
