KIVA zumbas over a donation to Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter Matthew Liebenberg

Because of the efforts of some generous zumba lovers, Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter got some needed help.

Christine Ciona of the KIVA Studio in Swift Current presented a cheque of $2,685 to Betty McDougall, the executive director of the Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter (YES). The money was raised during a two-hour Dance for Dorie Zumbathon at the Living Sky Casino Sky Centre, Feb. 11. Southwest YES is a non-profit organization that provides a safe, secure shelter for homeless youth at Dorie’s House, a youth emergency shelter in Swift Current for youth from across southwest Saskatchewan.
